Encouraging the Growth of Indigenous Trees

At WERUCODEP, we are promoting the growing of Indigenous trees since they last for many others. The indigenous trees are better in environmental protection compared to other types of trees. They contribute heavily to rain formation, and also last for many years.

We do this by putting in place nursery beds for different types of indigenous trees. We also give them to farmers for free to go and plant them so that the environment is protected.

some of the indigenous trees that we are planting include; Musizi, Enkoba, Munyama which is commonly found in Budongo Forest reserve.

We have seedlings for all the types of trees and these seedlings are ready for transplanting. We prepare tree seedlings every season for farmers and corporate institutions.
